Using HTML5 and CSS to Create a Website

Research The Trends of the Internet

Want a sad story? I'm not complaining.

I had my days of 5 and 6 figure income generated from my websites.

But today, I own a failed website that back in 2004 and 2005 boasted over 10,000 visitors a day.

I started back in 97 when the internet was still young, people actually read and were hungry for information.

They ate up everything I wrote and begged for more.

Over the years, the internet has changed.

People don't read anymore, at least not in the 'Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.

If it ain't on video, they don't want it.

Our best clients these days come from other countries where people still read and are looking for ways to create extra income.

Then along came Facebook.

Social media.

My response. Arghh. Gag a maggot!!

I could care less about the crap most people find interesting on Facebook, like when Johnny got his first pubic hair or the time granny fell and broke her hip.

Never been a social animal, always been the ultra introvert and so I never got into social media.

Now, because I ignored and abhorred both internet trends, I've watched my website traffic dwindle from 10k a day to 300 visitors on a good day.

What killed us? REPEAT visitors. (or lack of them)

Whether you consider them morons or not, if your website does not inspire repeat visitors, your website will fail.

You must research, keep up with and succumb to the Trends of the Day!
