This web page uses the illusion of equal columns created using a background on the main division.

We purposely left off any margins or padding so that you can see where each of the 3 divisions actually ends.

Notice that the left division seems to determine the height of the page because of the amount of content it contains.

The background image is actually 1000 pixels wide. The left and right columns are 200 pixels wide and the middle column is 600 pixels wide.

A border is added to the bottom of the main division to show that the columns appear to be equal.

The columns really end where the content ends.
